he needs BOY friends

Carson and Olivia are the best of friends (until one of them takes a toy that the other one didn't feel like sharing at the moment :)  It is so fun to have a friend right next door.  The only problem is that Olivia ("ivia" as Carson calls her) is a very girly girly girl.  I don't think I have seen her in pants, without a skirt or dress over it, this year.

A few weeks ago Carson was playing at her house and Tiawna called and said there was something I should see.  I went over and found my little boy dressed as a princess.  Tiawna said that Carson and Olivia were downstairs and were all of the sudden quiet.  She went down to find Olivia dressing Carson up.

All of Carson's friends and cousins are GIRLS.  It is amazing that Carson still turns everything into weapons, loves football and baseball, plays with cars every second, and lives to see "plane skies" and garbage trucks.  Danny makes it is personal mission to be a very manly influence in his life :)

Carson vs. Paige

Carson at 10 days
Paige at 10 days
Paige at 3 1/2 months
Carson at 3 1/2 months
In the cute contest it is a dead tie!!!

I don't know who these kids look like.  To me they look so different from each other and not a thing like me or Danny.  They have a few things in common....blue eyes, and chubby chubby chubby!

I just love these kids to pieces!  They are both so sweet.  I have never seen kids that laugh as easy as these ones.  That is why I love them the most, they laugh at ALL of my jokes.

LoOk WhAt We FoUnD

On Saturday May 21st we went for a hike in the wilderness of Blanding with Rod and the Frenchies.  We left the kids home so that we could get serious.  We ended up hiking for about 4 hours and found some great sites.  There were some ruins, caves, grinding stones, corn, and pictographs.  It was really fun.

4 months old

Baby Paige trying her first bite of rice cereal (actually it is mixed grain cereal).  She wasn't impressed.

4 month stats:
16 lb 15 oz (over 97%)
25 inches

Check out my kitchen....A work in progress

It's gonna be good
Here are the granite men working on our kitchen.  It was a frustrating day of waiting and waiting and waiting.  They finally came and had the counters in and done in less than an hour.  We went with Verde Peacock.  I love it!

Countertop in....cabinets, lighting, floor, paint, backsplash...........ahhhhhhhhhh tons of stuff to come.

Rod, Marie, and Liddie came last weekend and helped us put in our upper cabinets.  Everything was going great until the last cabinet.  It is 2 inches too big :(  so annoying.  I just want it to be done.  If we lived in a real town, I would go to Home Depot and get the right size cabinet.  Since we live in the middle of nowhere I have to drive 3 hours to the closest Home Depot.  We will stop by Grand Junction on our way to Vernal Memorial Day weekend and get the last cabinet.

Once we have that in, we will be doing the lighting, back splash and floor.  Oh yeah, I have to get the new black appliances too.  It doesn't feel like it, but eventually this will be done!!!

Cute cute cute

Where did these glasses come from? Does anyone want to claim them?
Yesterday we decided to stop being so white trash and get all of the construction junk out of our front yard and mow. I just got Carson a little play mower from my friend's D.I. pile (thank you Char). He followed Danny the whole time he mowed. It was so cute. When I took over the mowing, he followed me. It took close to an hour and he was right behind us the whole time!

Not to mention that Carson has become obsessed with wearing glasses (he calls them glass). He has to have them on whenever we go outside. Adorable I tell you.

Paige just sat in her chair and sucked on her hand. What a kid.

Working on the Kitchen

We are remodeling our kitchen. It is coming along slowly but surely. Our wonderful friends so kindly came and helped us put in our base cabinets so that we could get our counter top in. Mostly they wanted there counter top in, and since we live in the middle of nowhere we have to team up with such things so it doesn't cost a fortune. It is coming on Monday the 16th!!! GRANITE!

Paige at 3 months

There is my little 3 month old lady. Oh boy I love this baby.
Paigey pie is all smiles all the time. She loves to eat, sleep, and smile. She has been sleeping pretty well at night. Usually up once. I guess that is great, but wouldn't 0 times at night be better?
I obviously love these pants. She is growing so fast, I have to put her in my favorites as much as possible. She weighs 17 pounds now!
What a happy girl! She can't contain herself when she sees or hears her Daddy. Both of my kids are crazy about Danny boy. I do all the work and he gets all the glory :)

Happy Easter

Happy 1st Easter to baby Paige. I love this little dress...so cute!
oh my word, i just don't think you can get any cuter than that :) my fatty fat and cheezer
We had a great Easter. Paige didn't appreciate her basket at all, but Carson loved his. He got a bear pillow pet and a plastic recorder that he is crazy about! The Easter bunny went crazy with candy of course so we all enjoyed a breakfast of Reese's and jelly beans.
